Tere Jones: RN Remedies Featured Blogger

I am a certified pediatric nurse and RN III. For more than 20 years, I’ve worked as a pediatric nurse at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles with my main specialty in the care of surgical patients with experience teaching other nurses as a nurse educator.

Additionally, I’ve cared for children in their homes and have worked with complementary care practitioners such as chiropractors, natural doctors and nutritionists.

Presently, I am a clinical care coordinator on a medical/surgical floor.

I love making the seemingly complex world of medicine easier to understand. I enjoy sharing my knowledge so that people can feel better informed about medical as well as complementary medical topics. I also like to educate patients about general hospital information because I believe coming to the hospital is not as scary when you know what to expect.

Special Interests

Outside of my nursing job, I volunteer researching and helping with community projects in literacy, human rights and improving communications. It makes me feel good to help people improve their own knowledge and skills in any area.
