Anthony is All Heart. A Sweetheart That Is!

Frank Reyes: Share Your Story

Anthony at 11 months old

Transposition of the Heart. Who Knew?

Anthony came into this world with his cord wrapped around his neck twice. Not a great start and introduction into this world. But, we take what we can get.

In less than 24 hours our world was turned upside down. We found out that Anthony not only had those initial issues, but that he was born with a condition called Transposition of the Great Arteries. It took family support, prayers and the amazing staff at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to help us get through this experience.

Here we are, one year later and Anthony’s heart is functioning at 100 percent and he is the sweetest boy you would ever meet.

During the four months we spent in the hospital I created a Tumblr account to help me keep track of all the ups and downs we went through and some of the amazing staff at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

We hope you can share this story with others to offer hope to parents who go through similar circumstances.
