ThinkCure! Weekend 2011: June 24-26 at Dodger Stadium
Baseball fans, support cancer research at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles this weekend. Take part in the fourth annual ThinkCure! Weekend Friday, June 24 through Sunday, June 26, at Dodger Stadium as the Dodgers host the Anaheim Angels and help promote cancer awareness and raise funds for cancer research at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and City of Hope.
On the Field
In addition to fundraising, patients and doctors will be given the chance to take to the field at Dodger Stadium to participate in once-in-a-lifetime experience. Buy tickets to this weekend’s games to be a part of the action, including in-stadium entertainment featuring exclusive interviews with Dodger players, wives and coaches and inspiring stories of hope from cancer survivors from City of Hope and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
During ThinkCure! Weekend, ThinkCure! merchandise such as jerseys and wristbands will be available at all Dodger Stadium merchandise locations for a suggested minimum donation to benefit cancer research.
On TV and the Radio
If you can’t make it to Dodger stadium, this year’s ThinkCure! celebrations also include radio and TV programming throughout the weekend. Watch from the stadium, tune into Fox PrimeTicket or listen on KABC and Univision for the third year of this exciting annual event featuring Dodger player and coach participation, stories from cancer survivors, Dodger alumni and celebrity supporters.
Bid Online
Fans can also bid in an online auction, which starts June 21 and ends June 28. Visit www.dodgers.com/thinkcure to see the complete list of auction items including a base running lesson with Davey Lopes and a visit with Vin Scully in his broadcast booth.
Send a Text
Fans can make online donations to the Dodgers’ official charity or by calling (866) 554-CURE or by texting CURE to 50555 to make a $10 donation through their mobile phone bill. Standard messaging rates apply.
Help make this year’s ThinkCure! Weekend as successful as last year’s!
