
The fall season is upon us and so is the dreaded FLU Season. As a pediatric nurse, it’s important to me to share some information about avoiding catching the flu because children can be more significantly affected by the flu than adults, as can individuals at any age with existing medical conditions.

Know About the Glow is a campaign to share an educational message with other parents around the world—that a golden glow reflected back from a child’s eye in a flash photograph can spell eye disease or cancer. This campaign is taking the lead in promoting early detection and treatment of preventable blinding diseases like retinoblastoma, Coats’ Disease, Norrie’s Disease, and many other devastating, yet common, eye conditions.
