Samantha De La Torre’s Disney World Sendoff at LAX

Cancer patient Samantha De La Torre, age 7, and her parents Grace and Adrian were recently the fortunate recipients of a week-long trip to Disney World in Florida thanks to Dream Factory and American Airlines.

Dr. Stuart Siegel, Director of the Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, joined the special party held for Samantha at the American Airlines departure terminal on Oct. 1.

Samantha is being treated in our cancer program by Dr. David Freyer. The day before their departure, American Airlines arranged for a private meeting at LAX for Samantha and her family with Lakers Kobe Bryant, Derek Fisher and Luke Walton as the team was preparing to leave for London.

Congratulations to Samantha and her family!
